Sophie Calzada is a project manager and strategic communications professional who specializes in leading teams and developing processes to support integrated, cross-functional work across the education, technology, and nonprofit sectors. She brings expertise in program management, team coordination, and content development to support thoughtful, high-quality communications.
Before joining Collaborative, Sophie worked across consulting and agency roles, managing fast-moving, large-scale communications initiatives for leading tech and consumer companies, as well as for organizations focused on education and youth development. Her work focused on driving alignment, maintaining momentum across complex workstreams, and building systems that support clear, consistent execution.
Sophie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing from San Francisco State University. She is now based in Oakland, CA, where she is passionate about contributing to mission-driven work through volunteering with the Oakland Museum of California and Reading Partners.
