This Privacy Policy applies to the website(s) provided by Collaborative Communications Group, Inc., a company headquartered in Washington, DC, with respect to the personal data you share with Collaborative under this policy. The websites include collaborativecommunications.com and collaborativegovernmentsolutions.com. Collaborative knows that your privacy is important to you and takes user privacy very seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal data (i.e. any information you provide to us from which you can be identified) in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Collaborative reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to alter and update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We therefore invite you to review the current version of the Privacy Policy each time you return to our website.

Collaborative might collect personal data from you such as your name, contact details, occupation, company or university affiliation, industry, region/country, relationship to Collaborative, reason for contacting Collaborative, topics you are interested in and any other information you choose to share. By browsing our websites or sending us information, you explicitly consent to Collaborative processing your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Collaborative might use your personal data to fulfill your request, send you marketing communications, or process your job application.

Collaborative collects personal data from you when you request information from Collaborative and/or supply, information through the websites, such as when you subscribe to our blog, opt in to receive emails from Collaborative, agree to participate in surveys, or apply for a role at Collaborative.

Personal data we collect might include your name, e-mail address, title, occupation, company or university affiliation, industry, region/country, relationship to Collaborative, reason for contacting us, topics you are interested in, any other background information provided with an application and any other information contained in messages you send us.

By browsing our websites and submitting this information to us, you explicitly agree to Collaborative using your personal data for the purposes and in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. Please do not send us any information you do not wish Collaborative to use.

Collaborative will use your personal data to fulfil your request, provide you with the information you requested and/or send you marketing communications. If you have applied for a job at Collaborative, your data will be processed for the purposes of evaluating and processing your application and candidacy for the position to which you have applied. We may also use your information to analyze and improve our recruiting and onboarding processes as well as to communicate with you about Collaborative events and to send you publications that we think may be of interest to you. Collaborative may collect personal data and may disclose such information to third-party service providers in aggregate for marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to personally identify you.

You do not have to provide personal data to us. However, if you do not, we may be unable to handle your request or to provide you with the services you are requesting.

Collaborative will keep your personal data for as long as needed to handle your request or for as long as we have a relationship with you. If you have applied for a role with Collaborative, Collaborative will keep your personal data associated with your application for a period of up to five years.

Please note that Collaborative is not responsible for any information you may disclose publicly in any chat rooms, message boards, or similar web pages, including those hosted on or linked to our websites. You should keep in mind that, whenever you publicly disclose information about yourself online (for example, via message boards or chat rooms), such information could be collected and used by people whom you do not know. In addition, certain message boards and similar user forums may display IP addresses along with the message poster’s name and message. Collaborative bears no responsibility for any action or policies of any third parties who collect any information users may disclose on the message boards, chat areas or other user forums, if any, on the websites.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Website, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Website. Collaborative will not share or sell your data to any third party for their own use.

  • Carefully selected third party service providers, such as marketing service providers (if you have subscribed to our marketing communications), IT systems providers, recruitment service providers, background check providers, data cleansing providers or event organizers, so they can provide services to Collaborative;

Right to request to delete data You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities. Verification process  Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. These verification efforts require us to ask you to provide information so that we can match it with the information you have previously provided us. For instance, depending on the type of request you submit, we may ask you to provide certain information so that we can match the information you provide with the information we already have on file, or we may contact you through a communication method (e.g. phone or email) that you have previously provided to us. We may also use other verification methods as the circumstances dictate. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for the purposes of verification. If, however, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity, and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. We will delete such additionally provided information as soon as we finish verifying you. Other privacy rights

  • you can designate an authorized agent to make a request under the CCPA on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with the CCPA.
  • you may request to opt-out from future selling of your personal information to third parties. Upon receiving a request to opt-out, we will act upon the request as soon as feasibly possible, but no later than 15 days from the date of the request submission.

If you apply for a job at Collaborative, you will be asked to submit information such as your name, contact details, information about your education and work history and any other background information that might be relevant for your application or that you choose to share. If you do not provide this information to us, we might not be able to process your application.

Collaborative will use this information to assess your application and candidacy for the position to which you have applied. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this may include:

  •  Evaluating your skills and experience in relation to the qualification required for the job to which you have applied; and
  •  Tracking feedback and interactions we have with you throughout the recruiting process.

We may also use your information:

  • When analyzing our internal recruiting processes to determine which recruit sources to focus on;
  • How to improve integration and training programs for new hires with different educational backgrounds and work experience; and
  • How to enhance our interview model to improve hiring quality.

The information you provide may also be used to communicate with you about Collaborative events and to send you publications that we think may be of interest to you.

We might share your personal data with recruitment service providers, background check providers and IT system providers.
